The 3 volumes together contain more than 185,000 entries, arranged by county with each entry being listed alphabetically under the name of the testator and intestate. This volume #1 covers the counties of: Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, and Essex. Information found with in: the number of the will, the year of probate along with references to papers and records connected with them. Special Note: volume three also has alphabetical indexes to the unrecorded wills and New Jersey prerogative wills. All of the wills indexed in this reprint volumes are now in the Bureau of Archives and History in the New Jersey State Library in Trenton, and hence these indexes serve as a valuable guide to further information.
