Five little characters decide to stage a Play in the backyard of their house by the light of the full Moon. The five friends, Cedric the centipede, Rosemary Bear, Dolly, Hermione Rabbit, Patrick Rabbit (and Patrick Rabbit's little brother, Michaelangelo), prepare for their Play while they wait for the full Moon to arrive on the 16th. The Play is called "Two and Two Makes Five". The characters in their Play are The Magician (Cedric); Mother Goose - the Keeper of the Nursery Rhymes and Fairytales, (Rosemary Bear); The Princess of the Light (Hermione Rabbit); The Princess of the Dark (Dolly); The Scoundrel, (Patrick Rabbit); and Michaelangelo is allowed to play and sing a song for the Introduction to the Play. The aim of the Play is to find the Magic Fairies of Happiness and Love. While they are waiting for the full Moon they make costumes and discuss the script and the problems and dangers they may have to face in the middle of the night, for example exploring further than they have ever had the courage to do and facing the Bats and Scary Things of the Night. The night of the Play arrives and they are all very excited and happy. The Play does not go as planned, they are all very discouraged. They give up on their Play and decide to go home. Then an amazing and unexpected thing happens and they realise that all their work on their great adventure has not been in vain. They are faced with an wonderful realisation.
