An Angel from A Land Afar is the third in a series of Misty Rush novels. Misty tries to live a normal life in Colorado Springs after rescuing kidnapped twin girls in Pakistan. She marries Brian Becker, the father of the twins, but the marriage is short lived when Brian is shot and killed in a robbery attempt at his business. Misty is also threatened by a Pakistani group in Denver looking for revenge. She and the twins barely escape death when a car bomb explodes near her home. Meanwhile a terrorist plot in Saudi Arabia is conceived and planned using twelve young men forced to participate with threats of death to their families. Two of the group escapes while two more are murdered by the group leader. One group of four arrives in the United States via Canada and the other group of four plans terrorist activities in Spain. Misty along with her daughter Ashley and son Robert take a long overdue vacation in Florida. She crosses paths with the terrorist group near Celebration, Florida when one of the terrorist is struck and seriously injured by a hit and run driver. Her quick action saves his life and he wants to reveal the group's plan if his sister in Saudi Arabia is removed from harm's way. Mary Radcliffe, the wife of the FBI Agent in charge of the investigation, convinces Misty that the two of them are the best plan to get his sister safely out of Saudi Arabia via Qatar. They travel to Qatar only to find out that the terrorist's father in Saudi Arabia has been assassinated and his uncle in Qatar who was supposed to assist has also been killed. Misty and Mary, with the help of a soldier stationed in Qatar, cross into Saudi Arabia illegally and rescue the sister who had been hiding in a Bedouin camp. Both the terrorist plot in Florida and the one in Spain are averted at the last minute with the capture of the terrorists. The young man in Florida, who revealed the plot, is reunited with his sister and they are both given new identities and allowed to remain in the United States.
