Description

Denise Graham is a 60-year old Baby Boomer, who lives with her 35-year old working daughter, and two young grandchildren. Her grandmotherly duties are interrupted when she takes out the garbage in a thunder storm and gets struck by lightning. When she awakens, she is 17 years old again in the year 1969. Certain phenomena occur spontaneously sending Denise back and forth from present-day to 1969, and back again, hence the play-on-words title “Boomerang.” Four episodes have been written, and Denise eventually openly informs her friends of the phenomena. For the most part, they believe her, even though there is a question as to whether it is time travel, a parallel universe, the alignment of the stars, a peek into the Akashik Record, or she's just stoned and only thinks she can tell about the future. Each episode ends on a heartfelt note, with a hit song (at least in part) from 1969, making this a feel-good sitcom for all ages. The fact that TV is the new radio might even introduce another generation or two to the timeless music of the era. The first episode ends with “In My Life.”Special Note: “BOOMERANG” is a sitcom, loosely based on the feature-length screenplay “The Magical Festival,” written by the same author, Karen Carson.
