I have always been fascinated with China's pictures, of the Great Wall, Mt. Everest, the Symbols for Writing, the foods, Rivers, the people and major cities, such as Beijing and Shanghai. One day, in the near future, I believed that I would have the opportunity to travel to China and see the exotic places, drink the tea, eat the food, and meet many of the people. On December 8, 1995, I traveled to Beijing, China, to attend the Sino/American Joint Conference on Exceptionality, in The People's Republic of China. I returned to America and my home at Sandy Point, Virginia, on December 23, 1995, two days before Christmas. The fascination that I had with China had finally become a reality for me!
