Description

An Educational Risk Index (ERI) was developed and included school attendance, credit deficiency, problem school behavior, and current grades. Results indicate that educational risk factors were not significantly correlated with education-related referrals, education-related service access, and total service referrals. However, the relationship between educational risk and total services access were significantly and positively correlated. A logistic regression model predicted participant's recidivism from the ERI score which revealed a near-significant trend indicating that higher educational risk may be associated with increased recidivism.
