The Pentecostal and Evangelical revivals in the UK in the 20th century represented a breath of fresh air for the Church in an era of decline and struggle. This new book is an account of one of the less well known evangelists who made a significant impact in the 1930s, notably in the major urban centres of the West Midlands, the Potteries, Lancashire and climaxing in Merseyside in 1934/5 where he attracted over 300,000 to his tent meetings. Edward Jeffreys came from a famous family who were converted in the Welsh Revival in 1905 and experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit during the first days of the Pentecostal Revival.
