I would have never have guessed, when I started writing this book, that EV's (Electric Vehicles), and renewable energy were as far advanced as they are. I, like a lot of people, would have possibly considered them an interesting form of transport; others thought that it was just a passing fad. Incredibly, they are here and here to stay. The big shocker for me was when I found out that Petrol and Diesel vehicles are on their way out. In the next ten years you will struggle to find any of these cars on the road. A lot of people that I know still have not got a GPS in in their car, nor have they ever driven an automatic. What they will be driving in the next few years will more likely resemble something from the Jetsons, and have a control system more advanced than the flight deck of the star ship Enterprise. Add that together with the fact that we will all be generating our own electricity, and maybe even hydrogen, and we are heading for a future that we could have only dreamed of in Sci Fi books. I could say that we are entering a new paradigm, a new way of living but, actually, it is already here.
