When Kent's mom-to-be married a widower with five kids, she soon found it to be a challenge to manage both the kids that came with her man and her long hair, which was down to her waist. So it was goodbye hair. But not quite! She cut off her hair and stored it away in her cedar chest. Then, Kent's sister Mary Eleanor "inherited" the hair. Mary Eleanor, being so fond of dolls, made the decision to have a doll created with her mother's treasured and cared-for cedar-chest hair. The doll is shown here in appreciation of mothers everywhere.
