Paul Bourget (1852-1935) est un ecrivain francais issu d'une famille originaire d'Ardeche (Savas, Peaugres). Paul Bourget est l'un des grands romanciers de la fin du XIXe et du debut XXe siecle. Il est reste alors, jusqu'a sa mort, fidele au roman a these. Ses oeuvres comprennent: Andre Cornelis (1887), Physiologie de l'Amour Moderne (1890) et La Terre Promise (1892).
