Mary McKenney Johnson grew in Camden, South Carolina. She is the 11th of 16 children born to Otho James McKenney Sr and Daisy Lee James (Adams) McKenney. After finishing high school, she married her high school sweetheart Victor Johnson and traveled with him throughout his military career. They spent time in Germany 1979-1981, Arizona 1981-1986, Georgia 1986-1992, Germany 1992-1993, and Georgia 1993 -1998. Now, she resides in Riverdale, GA. Around age fourteen a collection of her poems were lost by letting a childhood friend use a poem for the church; the collection of poems was never returned. Being young and heartbroken the desires was lost for years. In 2000 God begin to heal her broken heart and open flood gates of poems. The poems would come from all sorts of emotional events, joy, sadness, love, and pain. She at times would feel a tap on her shoulder to write of a childhood memory or to express the gratitude of an of the beautiful people that God has allowed to cross the path of her life. The love for her siblings is expressed through individual poems. Her main purpose is encouraging and enriching each person that cross the path her life. She believes that laughter is truly medicine to the soul and healing to the bones. Her aim in life is to find beauty in everyone. The beauty of her father's love comes through the poem "Love caused Healing". She is married with four beautiful children and 7 adorable grandchildren. She attended American Inter-Continental University studied Business Administration. She enjoys cooking, gardening, sewing, and writing. Her favorite time of year is Christmas, when she gets to turn her house into a winter wonderland for the grandchildren. She loves people has never met a stranger. She finds great ease in talking to people. She worked in varies jobs from fast food, retail sales and finances. She currently an independent Licensed Insurance Agent.
