Description

Meditation is thousands of years old, scientific and proven process of connecting with our own 'Self' or Soul or 'Atma' or 'the real me' or whatever we call it. It is process of slowly removing our attention from external noises - the signals received by our mind from our senses and then reducing the internal noises of our own thoughts. When our attention is on our own noises, we have multiple 'Chitta'- consciousness affected by these noises just like waves on surface of a deep sea. When our attention moves inwards, we switch into state of thoughtlessness which is just like no waves on surface of that sea. Soon the lovely experience of our own consciousness just like the beautiful world in great depth of a deep sea is in front of us. Its benefits include no mind wandering, deep sleep, right metabolism, patience, love, compassion, generosity. forgiveness, control on bad habits and weaknesses, right stress level, no false fears, better will power, improved blood pressure, right heart and overall health besides better appearance etc.The effect of meditation is like removal of clouds that have blocked the sunshine of true knowledge. As we progress, we find more peace within and outside due to which the vital truths of life and 'afterlife' become clear. Even few seconds of resulting wonderful experience is so lovely that we would never give up meditation. Due to ever increasing pressures of life, all of us need right guidance so that meditation becomes as simple and easy as 'Yoga' has now become, after being simplified and shared scientifically. Due to the difficulties I faced while trying to find the right way and approach to meditation, I have written this book and describe it through short videos too, so that all can experiment with it themselves for better physical and mental health besides peace and right direction. This book describes concepts, nine five minutes experiments that convince us about our progress and finally guide into meditation. Many wrong beliefs prevail about meditation. Some think it is so difficult that it can be experienced only by leaving one's family and home or only under some 'Guru'-teacher or by paying some fees or getting someone's blessings through touch on some part of body or some Mantra- 'sacred words'. My experience proves that it can be experienced without any external help. We must take precautions described in this book and may need guidance once we go into deep meditation. My experience also shows that as we progress, such guidance comes from one source or other. Thus, we must practice it regularly without ignoring responsibilities. I go with this approach because people stop meditating within a few days as they do not experience its benefits, while forgetting that it needs lot of patience. I am sure, when they measure their progress, they will keep trying and soon start feeling that wonderful experience. Whatever is described here is based on my over twenty years of study of ancient and scientific literature as well as over nine years of deep meditation. I started meditation when I was alone away from family and continue it with a fine balance between it and duties towards family and society. Meditation is like cycling and hence books or any person can only guide us. When we experience and practice it ourselves, all doubts go away and the truth appears. Based on my own experience I can assure that it is easy and worth trying for all round benefits. As we progress some hidden capabilities of mind-brain start appearing on their own. Utilizing them is not the goal as they are only milestones. Though we do not find the proof of 'Moksha'- end of birth to death cycle, the resulting peace has already been proved scientifically. Meditation must now become part of our life being the most intelligent life form on earth so that we can drive the change towards that global village, full of all round peace. You are welcome to write to me on email [email protected].
