****All proceeds of this book are donated to the Gary Sinise Foundation honoring our nations defenders and veterans.**** If you are sitting down with this book you will become part of my journey in time, events and history that have become part of the American story. To me it was what I did; to me it was nothing special. I was a Crew-Chief of a UH-34 Navy helicopter with the title of Plane-Captain. Sea-Air rescue, classified missions, and racing the Russians to recovering drones during the Cold War were just part of my job. Now that I have the time I'm responding to those that enthusiastically told me that I needed to write this book. History needs to be told in a first person account like mine. I didn't know it at the time, but for four years I just happened to be there. Now you can be there too. This is not only a military account but a personal account of my everyday life during the volatile years of the sixties. Even more explosive is it all happened in Southern California. Trust me you will find yourself looking forward to the next page. Much of this story is about the beginning; the infancy of the United States space program, and the creation of America's advanced technology in aircraft and weaponry. So you will find that most of what I was involved in will help you understand how we got to where we are today. You will experience my love with a Las Vegas show girl. You will meet incredible and entertaining people that will stick with you forever. Sadly some of these relationships ended in tragedy, but they are a part of my story.
