An Anthology of 60 Micro Stories: Life is one big narrative made up of bountiful smaller narratives. With Motherhood (our own or our Mothers) making up such a massive part of our story, it means there are many, many, amazing, wonderful, deep, dramatic, inspiring, tragic, comical, scary, adventurous stories out there that remain untold. Stories that remind us we are not alone, stories that inspire us to keep going, stories that make us laugh as we relate, or cringe as we empathise with the darker moments. Mum Life Stories is a blog dedicated to the tales of motherhood, real and imagined. This anthology is a product of our very first series of micro-fiction writing competitions, which featured 6 rounds of competitions with the themes Mother, Grandmother, Single Mother, Step-Mother, Great-Grandmother and Foster Mother. We have some very talented and creative writers (some published & some new) who make up the 60 shortlisted stories (10 from each category), and we are very honoured and proud to have their unique and touching words adorning the pages of this anthology. Authors: Sarah Russell, A.K.Nephtali, Connie Boland, Bett Willett, Maureen McVeigh, Nancy Leinweber, Samantha Adair, Catherine Gillespie, Sean Fallon, Alexis Arrowsmith, Claire Gaudry, Megan Euston-Brown, Kyle Walsh, Christina Held, Laura Besley, Julie Meier, Laura Tapper, Completely Boofyblitzed, Alyson Hilbourne, Alina Kawker, Natalie Reilly-Johnson, RS Nevil, Connie Fogle, Michele Seagrove, Michelle Christophorou, Nicola Ashbrook, Bayveen O'Connell, Kristen Loesch, MFC Feeley, Tze Chua, Myna Chang, Dettra Rose, Nicola Davison, Rosaleen Lynch, Martha Lane, Claire Taylor, Danielle Linsey, Rachel O'Cleary, Denny Jace. $1 AUD from every book sale goes to 'Kingdom Lighters Ministry', a non-profit organization in Uganda that provides food, housing, and education for orphaned and abandoned children.
