Unless Taliesin and her magical sword, Ringerike, can defeat her many enemies and forge an alliance with the High Council, the barbarians of Skarda, the darklings, and a dragon named Bonaparte, she may spend the rest of her days on a leash. But she is a sha-tar, a natural-born witch, and it is her destiny to do the impossible, and prove to all that she is-the Queen of Magic.
