"She Has a Story for Everything" is the first of a two-volume humorous memoir demonstrating that the fire that burns the wood really can harden the steel, that nothing is certain but unforeseen (got that in a fortune cookie) and 'no guts, no glory' will get you a lot more out of life than being afraid to take risks. The first book, all 400 pages, covers 1944 to 1998 and ranges through three states (Michigan, California and Oregon), three marriages, moving to California with two sons and no job, taking up motorcycling and white-water rafting in my late 40s and using exercise to overcome multiple injuries and back problems that would have left others disabled. The second volume due at the end of 2012 covers 1998 to the present. To those who have said over the years, "Flo, you need to write a book," here it is!
