But a problem with threatening letters, has him contacting his childhood friends for help. His return excites and dismays CeCe, as the serial killer has both her and Ryan busy with long hours and interviews and no time for romance. A backyard shooting at Mike's estate, where family are gathered, and the demise of two very close to CeCe and Mike's heart is devastating to both of them. When Mike realizes who the shooter was, he takes immediate action. CeCe though totally in love with Mike, and with no proof, accuses him of murder. Can she marry this controlling man she loves, a man tied to crime, who often takes things into his own hands, regardless of the law. The law that CeCe has sworn to uphold.
