Lena Hawes, a forty-year-old insurance fraud investigator, separated from her husband of twenty years, becomes intimately involved with Bernard, a co-worker twenty years her junior. The enormity of recent personal problems causes Lena to turn to alcohol for relief. Her life is spiraling out of control and she seems unable cope with it. Lena struggles to find the strength to overcome chemical dependency and make things right with her son.
