Description

This report contains tables which can be used to estimate occupational hearing loss. These tables have been produced by Professor Douglas Robinson of the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton as an extension of those in his previous report published in 1988, (HSE Contract Research Report, No 2/88). The tables, computed by means of a mathematical model, enable the estimation of hearing loss for separate male and female populations, whereas the earlier tables were restricted to populations comprising equal proportions of males and females.
