The Modernist speaks of consent, participation, belonging, understanding and tolerance for personal choice, which covers, euphemistically, what they are doing. Evils are explained away, rationalized and discounted. Rape, pornography, sexual exploitation are first and foremost evil acts, directed toward the person of a tragically compromised human being.
