Description

Christmas is a magical time, but it can have its complications. The Tate family prepared for a traditional holiday, but it turned into a roller-coaster ride of joy, disappointment, fun, mistakes, and surprises. Hold on to your Santa hat as we enjoy the ride with them. Elaine Martin Rodgers has loved creating ever since she was a child. Working with wood, building and decorating doll houses, sewing, painting, and gardening are just a few of the ways she has expressed her creative side. She taught elementary school for thirty-fi ve plus years before retiring. Lessons in her classroom were laced with art to motivate and keep the interest of her students. Writing children's books seems to combine two of her loves, creating art and creating ways to teach children. She is now working to bring to life the children's books she has written in the past ten years. Some stories just pop in her head and other books are based on true family stories. Elaine received her BSEd and MEd in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia. She is married and has two daughters.
