These and other questions confront Chief of Police Matt Davis in Twice Bitten, as he once again comes face to face with murder in the sleepy village of Roscoe, NY.FROM THE AUTHOR: The idea for Twice Bitten: A Matt Davis Mystery came to me after reading a non-fiction book entitled Salvation on Sand Mountain by Dennis Covington. His was a journalist's account of his own experience covering the trial of a preacher accused of attempting to murder his wife using poisonous snakes, and the accompanying religious affirmation. The idea haunted me for some time, and finally I decided to write a murder mystery based loosely on the whole idea of snakes and religion. To date, it has been my most challenging writing experience, one that required hours and hours of research.
