Two Views of the Future is a book and study plan designed to make the case for a Christian response to our enviromental crisis. It asks Christians to acknowledge God's creation as a gift to us. Sin alienates us from living in harmony in that Creation. However, God offers us redemption, and through redemption comes the reconciliation which enables us to restore the Creation. The author asks us to learn the rules of nature that science provides and then answer God's call to restore what He has given us. Topics of study include: Environmental Principles and Values for People of Faith, and a Christian Planet Care Ethic. In addition, the role of the family, the church, and the community are examined. The nine lessons are designed to lead to a positive commitment. "No longer can we take sustainability of the biosphere and its ecosystems for granted. Humankind has become a major biological and goelogical force, and is now challenging the very sustainability of our planet upon which our and every other living creature's lives depend. How should Christians respond? Two Views of the Future examines both the Biblical and scientific truths that are essential to understanding this crisis and for taking positive Christian action." Calvin B. DeWitt - Professor of Environmental Studies emeritus, University of Wisconsin-Madison, President of the Academy of Evangelical Scientists and Ethicists, and author of Earthwise: A Guide to Hopeful Creation Care (Grand Rapids, MI: FaithAlive Christian Resources, 2011). In addition to the book, 8 1/2 x 11 Study Guides are available to write in along with a DVD. All materials are available on Amazon.com
