Description

VOLUME THREE, 1978-1986 is the third installment of collected writings I refer to as my "journals". The first book, IN GOOD TIME, begins in 1971 as I graduated from high school and began college at the University of Iowa; the second book, GETTING THERE, covers the years from 1975-1978 and includes the beginning of graduate school at the University of Idaho. This third volume chronicles the end of graduate study and the search for some way to put my training to work in the world outside academia. There are long lapses in the writing which explain, in part, the many years covered in this book. The work, as always, is ongoing, and I hope to begin the work of compiling and editing material for volume 4 in the near future.
