Chuck Roydhouse suffered near-fatal wounds in helping to free allied soldiers from Nazi prison camps, to the jungles of Vietnam where Navy pilot Bill Lawrence risked his life to complete his bombing mission and ended up serving seven years in a concentration camp, along with U.S. Senator John McCain, and on to the deserts of Afghanistan, where Army Black Hawk helicopter pilot Tommy Gibbons sacrificed his very life during Operation Enduring Freedom. This book also features the brave adventures of Astronaut and Helicopter Pilot Wendy Lawrence, Pacific Ocean Rescuer Robert McNitt, Distinguished Soldier and police detective Charlie Cowell, Vietnam helicopter pilot Mike Williams, Old Guard veteran Butch Trainum, Vietnam veteran Buddy Jones and decorated Marine James Parrish.
