Pizzerias in a war zone? Sex as a tool of resistance? One of the world's poorest countries leading the fight against a killer disease? Welcome to the world as you didn't know it - until now. We're OZY, the home of fresh stories and bold ideas across news, TV, podcasts and events. Our motto: Live curiously. If the relentlessness of the domestic news cycle has left you weary and cynical, we have just the fix for you. This year, we did something no one else has ever done: We went Around The World, reporting unique stories from every single country over a period of 180 days. Many of these nations rarely get covered in the international press unless they're the location of a war or terror attack, or if they strike oil. Yet where we expected despair amid conflict and chaos, we found richness and hope. Starting in Argentina and ending in China, a team of 190 reporters, video journalists, photographers, illustrators and editors brought out 398 original stories from more than 200 countries - and "not-quite countries" like Kurdistan and Antarctica. We found a world changing in unexpected ways: from free societies reminiscing about an authoritarian past, to countries with restrictive regimes racing toward a tech-fuelled future. This is a selection of the most delicious and surprising stories we unearthed. This is a snapshot of the world as you've never seen it, a journey the likes of which you've never been on. Ready for the ride?
