Dr. Shane Davis and his family recently moved to Jackson, Wyoming after Shane resigned as Chief of the US Food and Drug Administration after a decade of service. Through strangely synchronous events, Shane meets a Franciscan Priest named Father Bennington who, not long ago, tried to bury himself in a rubble of sorrow because he watched the Church turn its back the poor people in his Mexican parish. Father Timothy meets a young boy named Kyle Cavanaugh who is fraught with advanced leukemia. Kyle's strength and determination in the face of death brings Father Tim's faith back to life. Together, Shane and Father Tim battle the odds against them when it seems that God's wrath is released in a wave of unusual sicknesses that plague the community and spread across the nation and to other pats of the world. Shane must discover secrets to the mysterious illnesses, ones that he learns are strangely linked to the Book of Revelation in the Bible. He discovers a sense of spiritual enlightenment that helps him to understand the true origins of the diseases. His ultimate act of forgiveness produces a remarkable result, one that has a direct impact on those he loves most when he discovers a mystical place that has the power to heal all nations.
