Chef Harry Wells is attending the American Culinary Convention in Las Vegas where he renews his friendship with an old classmate, Andre Cooper. He Has no idea that Cooper is the target of an attempted assassination. Andre's family vineyard, in Sonoma, is being pressured to sell to organized crime and the mob is prepared to kill Andre to convince his father to sell. When Andre heads back home to aid the family, Wells tags along and soon finds himself embroiled in a plot to force vineyards to give up their properties in a scheme to manipulate the wine industry and inflate to price of grapes to the local wineries. The FBI has an informant within the mob and so has knowledge of the extortion plan. Agent Ronnie Malcolm is assigned to the case where he is reunited with Chef Wells. The two go toe to toe with criminal toughs and a killer for hire who refuses to back down.
