Description

This is a history of the ancestors and descendants of Belden Leslie Winters (1873-1928) and his wife Anna Ora Eaton (1875-1956), of Lawrence County, Ohio. The book begins with a chapter about Belden Winters' ancestors, followed by another about those of Anna Eaton. Belden and Anna and their children and grandchildren are then covered in detail, and outline information is provided for later generations. Belden's story begins in Ohio in the early 19th century with Henry Winters (ca. 1770-1830), an early Ohio pioneer. It continues with George Winters (1811-1884) and Belden's father, George Washington Winters (1851-1927). Anna's starts with Thomas Browne Eaton (1777-1828) and continues into the 19th and 20th centuries to her father, Thomas Newton Eaton (1842-1920). The stories of Belden and Anna and those of their nine children, 16 grandchildren, and subsequent generations follow. A list of sources and a name index complete the book. Three Appendixes are provided. Two descendant reports make relationships easier to understand and remember. A blank family group sheet is also provided.
