Hunter Adams just wants to live a normal life where he's not having to be long-distance with his girlfriend, Olivia Auxt. He would get this desire, unfortunately at a terrible cost. It all began the night of Prom on their way home when they come across a glowing rock that gives them powers. At first excited about their new powers, they're soon met with a problem as a murderous robot by the name of Molekill tries to kill them for information on the whereabouts of the rock they found. After realizing he was far too powerful for them to defeat, the two run off to Virginia to hide in Hunter's dad's house with Hunter's older brother, Austin Adams, after he also received powers. They then get their younger stepbrother, Nick Smith, to make sure that no one else will gain powers from the rock after destroying it, but realize their plan didn't work. This causes the four to split up into duos and go into hiding. Unfortunately for them, this plan doesn't work. After Molekill finds them and collects all the rock shards, he uses them to gain his own powers, eventually leading to the apocalypse. Now in a new world 3 years later, Hunter and Olivia work together to find other superhumans to form a team to finally take down Molekill. See if the heroes will be able to take down Molekill and stop him from conquering the Multiverse, or if they'll perish to the robot armies, hordes of monstrous Shadows, or the hands of Molekill himself. In this action-packed, heart-racing introduction to The Insiders series, Hunter Adams does an amazing job at mixing in a little bit of everything from the upcoming series into this prequel. All that's left for you to do now is get yourself invested in this exciting new series.
