One day, while in the store stealing, he was caught by the store owner, Mr. Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs decided not to call the police because he recognized how troubled Matthew was. Instead, he decided to give him a job and teach him a better way of life.That proved to be exactly what Matthew needed. With Mr. Jacobs' help, he was able to turn his life around. He no longer had to fight for hope because he'd finally found the love and peace he needed.
