Then, the unexpected happens when war veteran, Samuel Woods, a member of the Jacobson family through his mother, falls in love with the beautiful Elizabeth Walsh. Samuel and Elizabeth are initially unaware of each other's family identity, but then must deal with their growing feelings for each other in the wake of the family feud. Soon, Elizabeth's brother, William plots to have Samuel killed. While Sam is trying to evade William's hired guns, he then learns of an even more dangerous threat that may threaten the whole region, foreign enemies, who Sam defeated in the war, looking for revenge. Now, Sam must rely on his military training to defend his family, his home, and the woman he loves, against all enemies, foreign and domestic.With a vivid, intimate look at Metro Detroit, anyone from this region should feel right at home; and anyone not from the area can receive a sample of the sights and sounds of the area.
