This book challenges the myth that the abolition was granted as a gift to Afrikan People by William Wilberforce, his peers or European enslavers in general. It is part of a broader process which brings the issue of British involvement in slavery to Parliament in order to raise three important questions: 1.Who abolished the 'slave trade'? 2.When, where and why were piracy, human trafficking, the slave trade, slavery and colonialism declared crimes against humanity? 3.Why were they not always declared crimes against humanity especially with respect to Afrikan people? MP's from a range of relevant All Party Parliamentary Committees are invited to be a part of this discussion so that they can: (i) be further informed and encouraged to expose important contradictions in the portrayal of the history of abolition; (ii) raise and discuss these issues in their committees; and (iii) raise them for formal debate in Parliament. Furthermore, to facilitate the Parliamentary and broader community debate it seeks the disclosure all of the records and files: the files on the royal family; colonial files; piracy files; slavery files; slave trade files; military and intelligence files and all files relevant to the questions under discussion. It is part of process that seeks a rigorous and thorough unearthing of the facts in order to change the historical narrative for the better. The achievement of the more historically and factually accurate narrative will and must positively impact Britain's educational curriculum from primary school all the way through to university. The story of the hunter is a distortion. It is the stories of the hunter and the hunted, combined with those of relevant third parties that will offer a truer more rounded account of the history. Access to the requested files should not be limited to academics, but rather be open to any and all members of the public online. This will make a significant contribution to revealing the truth about this critically important aspect of history and facilitate important steps towards the advancement of humanity
