In the deluxe collection he continues the story right where it left off and offers up his longest and perhaps grandest poem to date "All The Things I Long For" along with more poems that take on the themes of heartbreak, loss, addiction, and mental health. This time however, there's hints of sarcasm, anger, and even hope that prior to this book were not seen as often. There are also several callbacks to all of Tom's previous books sprinkled throughout, (including the final poem which is a direct continuation of his final poem in World of Broken Dreams.) If Lessons Learned was Tom at his best, the deluxe poems just elevate that point and drive it home.
