Since its beginning our nation has fought many wars, and some are ongoing today. From the point of view of our becoming and continuing as a sovereign nation, two are of paramount importance - The Revolutionary War and the American Civil war. Pertinent to these two America! includes The Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.Other documents pertinent to the Civil war include President Abraham Lincoln's two inaugural addresses and his famous Gettysburg Address.Photographs are included of original documents, founding fathers, important statesmen, monuments and battle engagements. The Constitution section includes photos of our famous American forebears including some of the delegates who signed their names to United States Constitution.Finally, a special addition to An American Journal provides lyrics and links to selected performances of three of America's most revered patriotic hymns: The Star Spangled Banner, as performed by the Florida Orchestra and sung by Whitney Houston before Super Bowl XXV; America My Country 'Tis Of Thee, by Samuel F.
