Rebeka's vile stepsister Queenie has done a very bad thing and now a mobster has put an underground warrant out on her. Once captured, she will be taken to a foreign country in an isolated place in the wilderness and put up for auction. If an abducted woman is homely she'll be lucky to be put to work as a migrant farmer. If she's young and beautiful, then she'll be sold to work in a brothel in a foreign country. To be used, abused, drugged, tortured until the day she dies. The thing is, the abductors accidentally take Rebeka, thinking she is her sister Queenie. And now Rebeka is to suffer Queenie's sentence. The man running the auction is so feared, so dangerous, so deadly, people cower as he strides by. That is, except for the females who desire his rough ways. Unfortunately, Rebeka catches his eye. Now Jeph will not quit until he takes her for his own. That is, before he sells her to an even nastier fiend. Sell her, save her, or keep her, Jeph has yet to decide Rebeka's fate. He looked so...unscrupulous, big and brutally menacing, Rebeka struggled to hold in shivers so violent they threatened to split her body in two. She asked, "How does a child go from a slave in chains to being a man holding the chains?" He regarded her silently. Her big blue eyes so innocent, radiating sincerity and naiveté. He wasn't even born that innocent. At his nonresponse, she said, "How could you turn so vile? You went from an innocent child to a beast that sells, harms, kills innocent people." Eyes hard and mean, he replied, "Hell will do that to a soul, babygirl. There are no guiltless people here. As she is being prepared for the auction, Rebeka begs, "Please, Chief, please, I will do anything you ask. Anything. I- I promise, anything you want, any time you want, please help me," the sobs choke out of her trembling body as the tears fall. He gave her one more long look, his hooded dark gaze taking her in from head to toe and back. "There is nothing I can do." His voice flat, devoid of any sentiment, he suddenly turned on his heel and abruptly left her. As he strides off he can hear her soft, tortured voice crying, "Please, Chief, please help me. Please..." He didn't even glance at the other prisoners as he made his way back around to the front of the stage.
