Elwood Walker Chambers (1916-2007) recorded his life stories for his friends and family. Compiled together for the first time is his autobiography he wrote prior to his death and his life stories collected over his 91 years. Elwood was no stranger to change as he saw transportation shift from horse and carriage to automobiles, trains to planes, and men traveling through space. He also faced the reality of wars, serving his country in both World War II and The Korean War. He would often marvel about the inventions that came from war time and how they further were used to help promote peace when war was over. He tells many stories of the people he had the privilege of knowing. While his contacts were many some personal stories are included about: Harold L. Harriman, Henry Durham, Colonel Blain Anderson, Colonel Harold R. Duffie, Kimble J. Sorenson, Roy Keller and many more. Several short narratives he wrote about animals and places he loved are included in this work. His stories now live on in these pages and the people who read them.
