Having spent 26 years as an evangelical medical missionary in West Africa she is extremely well qualified to write this novel. Ministering as a nurse to the African people she encountered firsthand many cultural challenges and dangers. She and her husband were married in 1998 and presently serve as co-pastors of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist church, Enterprise, Alabama.
