It is written that Jesus Christ is our Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). His name JESUS means one who saves His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). Jesus is Emmanuel, which is translated, God with us (Matthew 1:23). Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1). Jesus is the Christ (Mathew 16:16). Jesus is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Jesus is the Son of God (John 1:29). Jesus is the King of Israel (John 1:50). Jesus is the precious cornerstone (Isaiah 28:16). Jesus is the Man of Sorrows (Isaiah 53:3), Jesus is our High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens (Hebrews 8:1). Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 1:8). Jesus is the bread of life (John 6:35). Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12). Jesus is the gate (John 10:9). Jesus is the good shepherd (John 10:11). Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25). Jesus is the true vine (John 15:1). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Jesus is GOD (John 1:1).These reflections are about the names and titles of Jesus Christ. In searching the scriptures, I found out early on in my faith that our focus should be on the names of Jesus Christ. God the Father and God the Holy Spirit have given God the Son, Jesus Christ, ultimate authority, kingdom and dominion over all human beings and creation. For sometime now I've prayed to God to give me grace to write and reflect about the names of Jesus Christ. My passion began simply by reading the gospel and epistles of John. When I read Paul's letter to Ephesians, I noted intentional repetition of the name of Jesus Christ. I learnt a lot from Paul's writings and I'm trusting the Holy Spirit of God to give me knowledge, understanding and wisdom to write about the precious names of Jesus Christ. I also learnt a great deal from the writings and teachings of C.H. Spurgeon, John Piper, C.S. Lewis, John MacArthur, R. C. Sproul and several other writers that our focus should be the names and titles of Jesus Christ and the glory of God alone. As I write this book, I aim to use the bible as my main source and I simply bring into focus the names of Jesus Christ.
