Having nothing better to do he decided to compose several works for chamber ensemble, including the Virus Days quartet. The piece is divided into fifteen movements, using a variety of compositional styles and moods. The work need not be performed in the order in which the movements were composed. In fact, the composer prefers the performers select their favorite movements, and play them in whatever sequence is most enjoyable. This gives variety both to the length of the composition and to the emotional impact, and means the piece will mostly likely be different at each performance. Charles Roland Berry studied music composition with American composer, Paul Creston and British composer, Peter Racine Fricker. Since 2010 he has worked as a film composer and arranger, his music included in Spider-Man Homecoming, John Wick -Parabellum, Mark Walhberg's The Gambler and Infinite, Equalizer 2, Ted 2, Tammy, The Interview, Chappaquiddick, Kept Woman, and How To Train Your Dragon. His music has also been used in TV shows, Weeds, Lucifer, Sons of Anarchy, Lilyhammer, and Gotham.Mr. Berry has lived in the Seattle area since 2000.
