She's been dating her high school sweetheart, Jerome Donahue for three years now, since their sophmore year. They were planning on getting an apartment this coming summer after graduation, and eventually get married within the next couple of years. Then Chloe finds out she's pregnant. When she tells her boyfriend, Jerome, that she is pregnant, he's not ready for a baby, so he asks her to have an abortion. But, after briefly considering whether or not to have one, she decides against having an abortion. She decides to keep the baby, and when she tells Jerome, he simply tells her to 'have a nice life'. Then one day, Chloe crosses paths with a new acquaintance, whom she had already started to develop a crush on. They make plans to meet up the next night, then their relationship slowly starts to flourish. As Chloe's new relationship is starting to grow, she's still struggling with the fact that Jerome left her to deal with her pregnancy alone. As the baby is starting to grown inside of her, she feels like she's dealing with the joys of pregnancy alone and she's having a hard time accepting the fact that a 'daddy' could do that to the 'mother of his unborn child'. She also has a hard time dealing with the fact that a 'daddy' doesn't care about his own unborn child.
