Church also delves into the custom of shouting in the Baptist church, revealing that the reasons behind the shouting stem as much from the endurance of the parishioners to persevere in the face of life's obstacles as anything else. St. Louis native Michael J. O'Hara got his start as a member of the band The Sheiks.After opening shows for the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Police, Michael enjoyed a successful career in music publishing, penning hits for Anita Baker, Patti LaBelle, and Jody Watley.
