What has happened to the American Christian church? Divorce rates are skyrocketing, children are not being raised to fear God and follow His commands, and families are being ripped apart. The truth is that all areas of our life get twisted when we stray from the perfect guidance and laws of the Word of God. When we avoid looking at these important life subjects through the lens of the gospel, we fall flat on our faces. As a society, we have developed so many different nuances that contradict God’s Word. There are many people in the church who have looked to culture and have conformed to the godless patterns of this world. Why do we so easily fall into the temptation to justify our sins and excuse our shortcomings? Is it possible that many born-again Christians are missing the mark more often than they think? Are there many who do not have a biblical understanding on how they should live, raise a family, or cultivate a marriage; who wander through life casually and turn to culture for guidance, advice, and encouragement and then wonder why their marriages or families crumble as soon as hardships arise; who believe in Christ but have ultimately decided to follow culture instead? This is a call for families all over the world to flee from sin and live radically for Jesus Christ. At the author’s request, all royalties will be given to help orphans and widows around the world through nonprofit Christian organizations.
