Even if the answer is YES, we are habituated to think and speak in such a way that only farmers are entrusted. No doubt, the trend is changing and cultivation is taking a new avenue in agriculture and people are into the new move, but still the spread is limited. Fashion, food chain, interiors, celebrations and many more are adopted with just one sight. The change is appreciated, applied or adopted. But farming and its uniqueness is neither adopted nor applied or appreciated. I guess, even if we announce everyday saying that – ‘we will starve one day without food even if our pockets are filled with money’. Every human being will respond as ‘let such days arrive and we shall think of it only then!”. Are we hard-hearted or being care-free? Is this over-confidence or complete trust on Money? Cash is just a ready-made product. We get paid for what we do. But food is not at all a ready-made product. Cultivation, availability, storage, preservation and cooking goes into it. Money will definitely not buy us food one day. This is certain. And we won’t realize it until such days arrive. This too is certain. Don’t take me wrong, I’m neither prophesying nor wishing for it. What if? This is my worry and this fear everyone needs to have so that we can strive to bring a little change which one day, can make the world better without having to face the bitter days. We, as responsible citizens, can just move a step ahead and broaden our imagination with positivity towards a happier society.
