This book is about the vicissitudes and difficulties faced by a couple who wants to build and own a paradise in the outskirts of Cancun, on an uninhabited beach... The story also reveals the experiences, adventures, disasters and misfortunes that many people lived on that desolate beach when they wanted to make their golden dream come true. That beach had secrets. Was it cursed? Although this novel is loosely based on real events that took place on that lost beach of Isla Blanca, Municipality of Isla Mujeres, Mexico, it also includes fictional situations and characters. The beach still exists, although I couldn't tell if the beach that one day I felt as my own still has its charm. The greatest misfortune that ended the dream of many took place very close to that hidden beach. There were many ambitious people involved who wanted to get hold of this paradise without considering the damage they were causing; they never succeeded in owning it. In spite of the misfortunes caused by these people lacking in moral principles, I managed to grow and learn a lot in those years. Now, from a distance, I glimpse the lessons learned, and to a certain extent, I am grateful for them, because without them I would not be able to share this significant part of my life with you. Names and events have been changed to protect the privacy of those involved. Any resemblance to reality is purely coincidental. After all the story that I narrate in this book and that took place on this beach in Quintana Roo, many changes have taken place. For example, in the last few years countless luxury hotels have been built, some of the old dirt roads have been paved, and new and wider roads have been built. Ports have also been opened. Prominent personalities and politicians have come to know and invest in the Caribbean beaches, enjoying their stay in luxury hotels. Mexican beaches receive many artists every year. This area has been visited by celebrities such as Paul McCartney, Shakira, Piqué, Justin Bieber, Melanie Griffith, Dakota Johnson and athletes such as Rafael Nadal and Sergio Ramos. Just to name a few. The beach referred to in my book is located in front of Isla Mujeres. Urantia, as it was originally named, belongs to the mainland of the Municipality of Isla Mujeres, called Isla Blanca. There is some confusion about the location of Isla Blanca because, although its name is said to belong to the municipality of Isla Mujeres, physically it is not located in Isla Mujeres, but in front, in the outskirts of Cancun. At the end of the year 2000, there was the entrance to the trail to reach the Isla Blanca land in Punta Sam. Today, the main road is the extension of Bonampak Avenue that joins the new road.
