At Chrysler's Kokomo Transmission Plant in Kokomo, Indiana, Delbert meets Jerry. Jerry sets-up Delbert on a blind-date with his neighbor woman, Ida May. The blind-date is a hoot, but Delbert spurns Ida May and starts hanging-out with Jerry. Weirdly, Jerry asks Delbert to drive a car own by Ida May's father from Kokomo to Sarasota, Florida. Reluctantly, Delbert agrees. Near Cincinnati, Delbert stops to visit Marni, a virgin woman who wants to remain pure until marriage. Delbert leaves Marni and drives to Atlanta, Georgia. Along the way, Delbert destroys the three Abraham religions and creates a theory about Muhammad's trance-talking, the Prophet's Reading, written-down into The Koran. In Atlanta, Delbert acquaints Lebron, a drug dealer who takes Delbert to a strip club. Delbert then drives to Sarasota. During this drive, Delbert destroys Ayn Rand and her Objectivism "Philosophy." On Siesta Key just south of Sarasota, Delbert meets The French Girl. Delbert explains to The French Girl why God-of-the-Bible is an impossible Being. Later, The French Girl gets bossy. If you read this book, you will laugh and think. "Delbert's Book" is funny and deep. You will not be bored.
