After a brief warm-up, professionals sample behavior across a variety of contexts using familiar play materials and books. Gathering observation data on a simple form, professionals assess arm and hand control, including pointing, grasping, stacking, and taking objects with one or both hands motor speech control, including movements of the jaw, face, lips, and tongue abnormal structure/function, including jaw sliding, abnormal posture, excessive drooling, and asymmetrical facial structure After completing the scoring form, professionals will have a comprehensive picture of speech-related motor controlùinformation they can use as a starting point for further assessment and intervention.
