It was exciting to discover ancestors who fought in America's wars and trace lineage to William the Conqueror, Charlemagne, and King Clovis. Plus, Weaver Mountain and Simmons Gap and several roads in Earlysville, Virginia are named after our 5th great grandfathers. Two direct descendants were 1773 charter members of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. Stories and photographs bring the history alive. This book has been a labor of love for seven years. It started when a nice lady gave my mom a chart with some family lineage. Hopefully future generations will use this book as a foundation for something greater in their lives.Lineage of the Crenshaw, Dickerson, McCauley, Seamonds, Marshall, Birckhead, and Wood families is included, along with the Seamonds family back to William the Conqueror, Charlemagne, and King Clovis.
