In this thesis we compute the density fluctuation limit for the k-colour version of the zero range interacting particle dynamics when the system is started out of equilibrium measure. We extend the method of Chang and Yau to the k-colour model setting. A key estimate in the proof of this result is the logarithmic Sobolev inequality. We prove the inequality in the more general setting of a class of inhomogeneous zero range particle systems. We also show how the k-colour density fluctuation result may be used to establish a central limit theorem for the tagged particle at the level of finite dimensional distributions. This is the central limit theorem associated to the propagation of chaos result for the zero range interacting particle system.
