Story description of Enemies of the Mind A story of a young family's survival post WW2. A personal journey that readers will be dragged into the ebbs and flows of their dysfunctional life during the 1920 and through to the early 1960. Arthur the father has his demons to deal with from his experiences of war. His personal gremlins shape the family's future. The novel starts during the war, Arthur is an experienced Paratroop soldier seeing active combat with his beloved Parachute regiment with flash backs while in solitary confinement when a Prisoner of War. Flashbacks cover Arthur's youth and his upbringing during and after the "Great Depression" The story is weaved around his personal experiences and has been described as powerful, dynamic an enthralling read and for some readers an emotional experience. The author wrote the novel for cathartic reasons and found it a personal and communicative recollection. Noting that many manuscript readers found the narrative inclusive, as if they were there experiencing the highs and lows. The author feels it would be an excellent read for sixteen year old to mature aged i.e. the general public. He has been asked to write more about his family life as the story finishes as the family leave their home for a new and brighter future. He has ninety percent of another novel completed, possibly releasing the novel in March-May 2016. Similarly he's a novella nearly finished.
